Handbill for Kal Spelletich’s machine-art collective SEEMEN, whose performances involved robots, fire, and audience participation. The show took place at the Trocadero Transfer, a landmark South of Market gay disco that opened in 1977, and by the 1990s also hosted alternative club nights and experimental performances like this one. The mock headlines refer to the Tokyo subway gas attack earlier in 1995.
