Berkeley: Bay Area Committee to Send the Shah Back to Iran, [1980]. 8.5x11 inch handbills, minor toning, otherwise very good.

The Committee formed after the Shah of Iran had been deposed and came to the US for medical treatment. Here they offer a join event with an Afghani opponent of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. "Who are the Afghani people and why does the Soviet Union covet this small country?" The event featured David Kline, "a freelance reporter who recently toured Afghanistan with Islamic guerrilla fighters." Kline had recently co-authored "The new face of Kampuchea," celebrating the Khmer Rouge.
