Commemorative program issued for a February 2, 1980 dinner and rally celebrating the clemency granted by President Jimmy Carter to several Puerto Rican Nationalists. The program opens with the event schedule, solidarity greetings, and messages from organizers. Named as honored guests: Rafael Cancel Miranda, Lolita Lebrón, Irving Flores Rodríguez, Oscar Collazo, Jamie Delgado, Myrna Salgado, and Mildred Martinez.

This is followed by approximately twelve pages of sponsorship and solidarity messages representing an unusually broad coalition. Among the organizations included are the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (full-page advertisement), the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Eritrean Students, the People's Law Office, the May 19th Communist Organization, the Chicago Women's Health Center, the Pontiac Prisoners Support Coalition, the Sojourner Truth Organization, and numerous attorneys, community organizations, and solidarity committees. This program demonstrates the convergence of Puerto Rican independence activism with the broader anti-imperialist Left at the beginning of the 1980s.
