Nvwtohiyada Idehesdi Sequoyah is innocent. Free N.I. Sequoyah from Death Row [handbill]
Oakland, CA: N.I. Sequoyah Defense Committee, [1992]. 8.5x11 inch handbill printed both sides, some green dye transfer to the verso, mild crinkling.
Argues that Nvwtohiyada Idehesdi Sequoyah (Billy Joe Waldon), a Cherokee Esperanto activist who created the Poliespo language, had been befriended by an FBI agent and framed with evidence of a crime spree. Much of the flyer is devoted to his history of activism and Esperanto promotion. Sequoyah created Poliespo (Polisinteza Esperanto, "Polysynthetic Esperanto") in order to bring Cherokee characteristics to the international language.
