Great Society: a new leech on life [pinback button]
New York: UUU, [196-]. 1.25 inch diameter pin, very good condition.
Randy Wicker, a member of the Mattachine Society, appears to have made his start in the world of pins by selling “Equality for Homosexuals” buttons. In 1967, he opened Underground Uplift Unlimited at 28 St. Marks Place, which sold a broad range of pins, including anti-war, counterculture and drug themed, as well as many silly or humorous slogans. His pins, including this one, have the initials UUU and the address over the curl.
