A play about a Black family's experience confronting racism. The author Swann, a Black Presbyterian civil rights activist, later became the lead plaintiff in the landmark case Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education. The Supreme Court’s 1971 decision in this case found that busing was an acceptable means of desegregating public schools.
