[Three leaflets opposing housing segregation, from the Communist Party of San Mateo County]

Redwood City, CA: CP of San Mateo County, [194-?]. Three mimeographed leaflets, one 8.5x14 inches, the others 8.5x11 inches; only one bears the explicit imprimatur of the CP branch, but the contents of the other two reflect the same origin. Some uneven toning and closed edge tears. Undated, but issued not too long after the Taft-Hartley Act of 1947.

All three leaflets criticize the red-lining policies of the county, describing racial segregation of neighborhoods as an un-American echo of the fascist policies then still a recent memory in Europe. Realtors who support segregation to boost home values are particularly criticized.
