The Committee was organized by the Hollywood branch of the Progressive Citizens of America to defend the Hollywood 10. "It is less than the truth to say that the Voice of the American people is the death rattle of Citizen Hearst... Ten men have been convicted by the producers - not by the courts." Cites faculty at prestigious schools, religious leaders, and authors who protest the blacklist.
