527 Club, The Levee: Brunch Menu
[San Francisco]: [n.p.], [n.d.]. 4.5x11 inch sheet, illustration and menu on one side, postcard areas for postage and writing on verso; in very good condition.
Lenny Mollet bought the 527 Club in 1965. In the evenings, it became a gay bar known as Off the Levee. It grew in prominence as Mollet's community relationships also developed in pre-Stonewall San Francisco. He sold the bar in 1994, two years before his death. The date for this menu is unknown, but it advertises for screwdrivers: meaning it must be before the Tavern Guild's orange juice boycott in 1977, when Mollet was also the guild president.
