[Corning, NY]: Committee on Jobs, [1935]. 8.5x11 inch handbill, toned, "Corning, NY 1935 CP" penned at bottom, otherwise very good. Cartoon depicts a bone labeled "relief" which is being held up by Mayor Hood while "Promising" Jim Hallahan chips away at it with hammer and chisel.

“According to Mayor Hood, we unemployed of Corning are but a bunch of Chiselers - Listen to his belch in the local papers of August 8th --- ‘They can increase their earnings by doing outside work when they are not busy on WPA jobs.’ Does the kind Mayor think that we will have time for other jobs, when we will be busy for five days a week earning $11 a week?” Urges a general walkout across the country by WPA workers.
