Fighting Without a War - An Account of Military Intervention in North Russia. Illustrated with Photographs.
New York: Harcourt, Brace and Howe, 1920. Hardcover. xii, 138p., illustrated with perhaps two dozen b&w snapshots shown two to a leaf (on glazed inserted stock), first American edition in 7.5x5 inch blue buckram boards lettered & ruled in black. Casing is rather worn, slight color-loss at rims and corner-tips, spine panel mildly sunned. Within, both hinges are sound, ffep bears a 1940s ownership in ink. The most serious defect: careless ink underlines to the first twenty pages. Beyond that point we see no problems; item is reasonably sound in structure, otherwise cleanly and unmarked, but-- "as is"
