Washington DC: Federal Bureau of Investigation, 1982. 8x8 inch mini-poster of the type distributed to post offices for public display; neat horizontal fold crease, as issued, with list of FBI offices on the back, with address label for the postmaster in Cornwall, CT. Minor toning, otherwise very good.

Kaufman, who had attended Stanford University and the University of Chicago and served in the Army, had placed time bombs in safe deposit boxes at various banks in 1971, intending to use them as leverage to demand the release of political prisoners. This revised version of his wanted poster, issued a decade after the first, had a new photo and was successful in catching Kaufman; a police officer who knew his wife recognized the man he'd known under an alias.
