Berkeley: University of California Press, 1959. Hardcover. An uglified ex-library copy, this complete set is more for readers than collectors. Volumes I and II, respectively xviii, 1,179, ix, 1,183--1,894p., textblock is handsomely printed and bound, with firm handleable signatures, and even casing's hinges remain OK. But back to aesthetics: covers and titlepages were desecrated with "library marks", then further ruined with crude attempts to disguise these marks. A once-beautiful set has been dreadfully cheapened. On the plus side, well, "cheap" is not bad of itself, and as stated above, the hinges and text-blocks are easily handleable. "Reader's set"
