Emphasizes the separation of church and state, respect for science and logical philosophy, rather than I-hate-god stuff. The Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchins "schools" come in for accusations of shallow emotionalism. Admittedly, the "new" business is allowed to be, by author Amarasingam, mostly repackaging for the mind-sets of the modern era.
