The History Teacher, volume 32, number 1, November 1998
Long Beach CA: The Society for History Education, 1998. Magazine. vii, 10-155p., no illustrations beyond cover (see below). Journal wraps, 9x6 inches, alkaline stock throughout, quite sound, clean, and unmarked except for an addressee sticker on front cover. Principle subject matters are Haiti ("Teaching the Haitian Revolution"), Merle Curti's obituary, Benjamin Quarles, Vietnamese women refugees, and smallpox in Latin America. The Society for history education through University Press of California State University, Long Beach.
Cover photo, somewhat misleadingly, shows a repro of "The Cuban Cienfuegos Baseball Team" (poster?). "The all-American sport migrated to Latin America in the nineteenth century; Cuban dockworkers were the first to pick up the sport, playing against American crews, in the 1860s." --which squib is all we will read here about Cuba or baseball.
