Burmese Family. Illustrated by E. G. N. Kinch [ with ] Preface to American Edition.
Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1962. Hardcover. 200p., sketch illustrations, hardbound in 9.5x6 inch white buckram boards titled tan and enclosed in the dust jacket. The new introduction, FYI, bridges the 15-year gap between first composition and US issue. Book itself is nearly as-new, the intact dj having preserved the buckram's cleanliness; front-free-endpaper bears an unobjectionable bookplate and a small faint sticker remnant, while the price-clipped dj is edgeworn, with a short bit of clear tape to verso tacking down a short tear. Find an author photoportrait on dj's rear panel. An excellent copy: sound, clean, otherwise unmarked.
Without great indiscretion, Khaing hints that she foresees Burma's authoritarian regime then in the making.
