The Coast Artillery Corps of the United States Army. Foreword by Major General J.A. Green, President, U.S. Coast Artillery Association
Chicago / Washington DC: Rand McNally & Company / Infantry Journal, Inc., 1943. Hardcover. 72p., illustrated with photographs on every recto page (texts on opposite verso) of which perhaps a quarter are in color (colorized vividly), a little hardbound book of 5.5x4 inches papered in scarlet (Corps color), faintly dust-soiled with mild edgewear to boards else perfectly sound, unmarked, and otherwise clean. The guns (enormous, rail-mounted) are gone, but coastal San Francisco and Marin counties got plenty of concrete bunkers, many still visible if kinda creepy.
