Dunphy was a companion of Truman Capote, his "Dear Genius" relates their life together which is also explored in Ryan Murphy's wonderful "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans" with Jack portrayed by the lovely Joe Mantello. This was his first book and novel which concerns an Irish-American family man and worker in Philadelphia. No homosexual content but his later book, "Friends and Vague Lovers" is Young 1109.
