Author's third book and second in the series begun with "Watchtower" All three in the trilogy featured gay and lesbian characters as matter-of-fact. Her second book was "A Different Light" from which the LGBTQ bookshop took its name. This book is not listed in either Young or Grier though it features LGBT characters and themes. Randy Alfred is a freelance journalist who co-founded the San Francisco Bay Times, edited The Sentinel and hosted the KSAN public affairs radio show The Gay Life.
