Early volume by the Maine poet. The poems are about seasons, faith, and patriotism. A portrait of the artist as a young man is on the title page verso. Connellan served as Connecticut’s second poet laureate; a NY Times report noted that "A press release from the Connecticut Commission on the Arts announcing Mr. Connellan's appointment as poet laureate stressed that he has frequently been described as a voice for and to America's working class." Not located in OCLC as of July 2023 (predating his first book there by 28 years).
