Chicago: George Matthew Adams, 1911. Hardcover. 190, [2]pp., boards. 8.25 x 5.5 in. Wanting frontispiece. Inscribed on front flyleaf: “Alice G. Brown … from Nana Christmas 1931.” Bound in blue-gray cloth over boards, block-stamped on front cover in black and white, with a portrait of a lady. Cover designed by Gustave Baumann. Spine soiled and a little faded, but front cover design bright and sharp.
Scarce volume collecting articles originally published as part of a nationally syndicated advice/etiquette/musings column for women. An early cover design by Baumann, who spent most of his career as a painter and printmaker in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
