A compendium collecting photo-illustrated stories on the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, from the pages of the French journal L’illustration. The articles were first published from December 1934 to mid-June 1936 and cover the ineffective (though extensive) diplomatic efforts of the League of Nations to curb Mussolini, as well as the efforts of Ethiopians to fight off the imperial land grab. Adds a timeline of the events, which led to the expulsion of Italy from the League of Nations. The frontispiece is a double-leaf plate with a large map of Ethiopia. Some illustrations in color.
