An academic thesis on the history, present, and (potential) future of child protection laws in France. Argues for the extension of the Roussel Law (1874) which extended numerous legal protections and medical benefits to children. Courtault, though more known for his support of bicycling (he was known popularly as Dr. Velo), here argues for the extension of these provisions. Among his proposals is to cover children under all caregivers, whether they are paid nannies or not, and compulsory vaccination.
