Unusually good sketches and color art, the critters shown being vigorous (hopping, touching, preying) . Males often are drawn with visible if not explicit genitalia. The text is quite informative about familiar animals as well as about the ones non- Aussies never hear about. A slightly shabby copy with edgewear, rusty staples, and faint toning to paperstock, but the artwork remains bright. No ownerships or any other sort of marking. Puffin picture books no. 45.
