Sacramento: California Commission on the Status of Women. 1980. Pamphlet. 12p., staple-fastened pamphlet in 11x8.5 inch wraps, a very good copy (clean and unmarked) bearing a mailing label for an address in San Leandro. Amongst laws passed was one prohibiting the polygraphing of assault victims as a prerequisite to filing charges. Irene Hirano, just that year elected to this chairmanship with lots of planning in mind, and Daniel Inouye were married; she died in 2020.
In-text statement: "This issue of California Women is largely devoted to a listing of the nearly 100 bills identifiable as women's legislation which emerged as law from the two-year session of the CA legislature which concluded in August, 1980" - 100 passed of some 500 'uniquely important to women" that were submitted.
