Advertisement for a correspondence course in art for advertisements in magazines, publishing, and various businesses. Instructor Charles E. Dawson’s work–including his advertisement poster and bookplate design–is displayed prominently. Dawson briefly corresponded with Eric Gill in 1917, when the latter submitted a sample illustration for the former to consider. Dawson promptly replied with the suggestion that Gill, who was by then already an accomplished artist, undertake coursework offered by the Practical Correspondence College. Blank application form inserted.
