Story-A-Day; 7 New Stories For Children Every Week. [5 sequential issues:] Vol. 1 No. 1, September 24, 1953 -[with]- Vol. 1 No. 2, October 1, 1953 -[with]- Vol. 1 No. 3 -[with]- Vol. 1 No. 4 -[with]- Vol. 1 No. 5, October 22, 1953 [five unduplicated issues together]
New York: Story-A-Day, Inc., 1953. Paperback. 32p each, staple-fastened pamphlet-type paperbacks measuring 11x8.5 inches, each one has a color cover and illustrations within in b&w and monochrome, generally quite good copies: #1 and #2 a little edgeworn with faint abrasion to spinefolds, #3 ditto with a tiny sticker scar, #4 has a ragged two-inch tear to back cover joint, #5 bears inoffensive childish pencilling inside front cover margin (no graphic affected). All are good copies, even #4 (as its tear is inconspicuous). The five issues as a small lot.
Tedious stuff for adults, unfortunately. Omissions, or rather an exclusive focus on untroubled white cliches, suggest our category "racist"
