Trumansburg, NY: Trumansburg United Front Committee Against War, [1936]. 8.5x11 inch handbill, paper toned, location and date neatly penned at bottom, otherwise very good. Artwork depicts a farmer working his plow through a field of bayonets.

Issued during the Communist Party's anti-New Deal period, accusing the administration of taking 2 or 3 million farmers away from their farms.Notes that a local flood has also devastated poor farmers. Demands cuts in the military budget and the passage of a Farmers' Emergency Relief Bill. "Workers and farmers, unite against the war schemes of American capitalism! Unite with the workers and farmers of the world in opposing all war schemes, against the fascist war policies of Hitler and Mussolini."
