A short tear to top edge of title page has been sealed with document tape, which is old and yellowed; and, at p.151, a more serious tear to gutter-margin has been treated similarly.

First of Stuart Chase's books. They conducted an "experiment" in America's job market, in Rochester NY, dressing down, living at poverty level, looking for work constantly, work surprisingly hard to get, spirits no longer bouyant.
