Paso Robles Hot Springs

Paso Robles CA: Southern Pacific / the Hotel & Bathhouse, approx 1912. Pamphlet. 52p., glazed alkaline paperstock with captioned b&w photo-reproductions throughout, perhaps half of which show bathing apparatus and persons (male & female) in treatment. Softbound in 9.5x6.5 inch stapled color pictorial wraps. The staples have failed and have released two centerfold double leaves with a third held by one staple only. Otherwise, item is mildly edgeworn with just a few extra touches of wear to the free-floating leaves. Item is complete with no losses, but "as is". The springs are located eight miles from Mission San Miguel, and they are on a rail line that also serves Hotel Del Monte at the Monterey Peninsula, and aims to carry many thousands to the two expositions (see below).

Dated from spot advertisements inside front and back covers: front, the PPIE up in San Francisco; and back, the "Panama-California Exposition" in San Diego, these being one and the same celebration in two different locations.
