The Auklet [five issues]

[various]: 1922-1948. Magazine. Five issues of the occasionally annual publication parodying the American Ornithologists' Union's quarterly, The Auk. Some toning, otherwise very good condition, most issues 6x9 inches. Issues present are Vol. 1 no. 2 (October 1922, printed in Chicago), Vol. 2 no. 4 (October 1931, Detroit), Vol. "?" no. "???" (October 1938, Washington DC), a similarly nonsensical issue number, printed in September 1947, location unknown, and from the new series ("New Serious"), Vol. 1 no. 4 (Auktober 1948, Omaha). Subtitle and issuing organization varies.

Ornithological humor, both erudite and silly, apparently distributed to coincide with meetings of the American Ornithologists' Union. Among the contributors was Kenneth Carroll Parkes.
