Conquests & Discoveries of Henry the Navigator, being the Chronicles of Azurara, Portuguese Navigators & Colonizers of the Fifteenth & Sixteenth Centuries; edited by Virginia de Castro e Almeida, with a Preface by Marshal Lyautey, translated by Bernard Miall
London: George Allen & Unwin Ltd, 1936. Hardcover. First publication in English. 253p., a few period illustrations (indifferently reproduced) on inserted coated stock, hardbound in strawberry red cloth boards spine-titled gilt. Covers are bright, spine is rather dim (titling now scarcely legible), top edge dust-soiled. A small but pervasive bump affects the first half of textblock. Bookplate and seller's marks to front endpapers, front hinge a trifle weak, cleanly and unmarked within. A slightly better-than "reading copy"
