The White Rabbit Gallery began as a project to share Judith Neilson's collection of contemporary Chinese art. During the 1980s, artists felt as though art was able to expand as a form in its own right, no doubt facilitated by travel and globalization. .Artists attempt to highlight the interaction between images of the Cultural Revolution, ideology, consumerism, censorship, and the digital age to come to terms with their own identities.
