Supernatural comedy set in Scotland in a Free Kirk Manse during WWII where a pair of soldiers are billeted while manning a big gun emplacement. Alastair Sim portrayed the Minister in 1943. Bridie worked with Alfred Hitchcock on "The Paradine Case," "Stage Fright," and "Under Capricorn." He wrote dozens of comic plays which were quite popular between 1930 and 1950. Filmed in 1946 with Edward Horton.
