Memorial work for Ellen Hayes (1851-1930). Hayes was a math teacher at Wellesley College for decades, wrote a number of math textbooks, was an astronomer, and was active in the women's suffrage movement and the Socialist Party. She founded her own radical newspaper and at the end of her life got arrested over her defense of Sacco & Vanzetti. After retiring from Wellesley she taught at a school for working class women.
