Los Angeles: Saturday Lunch Club, 1931. 5.5x3.25 inch postcard advertising a talk by Briggs (basically a book review of Sir James Jeans' "The Mysterious Universe") held in Los Angeles on March 14, 1931; reproduced from typescript, evenly toned, stamp and penned address on rear. all in all very good condition. The club's officers included Charles T. Sprading and Sadie L. Cook, both active in the Los Angeles Libertarian scene. Cook's husband Cassius V. Cook was a co-founder, along with Sprading, of The Libertarian League of Los Angeles.
