Scenes on the Famous Ridge Route Between Los Angeles and Bakersfield California
Chicago: Curt Teich & Co., circa late 1920s. Eighteen photographic views, capably tinted in colors, each measuring 3x5.5 inches on slightly larger panels, accordioned on a single long light-cardstock leaf and tipped into a 4x6 inch postcard pocket. Item bears stamps legibly cancelled, a pencilled Oakland address and a brief pencilled message inside ("How is Betty Lou.. going to Long Beach soon"); pocket supplies an additional two views though these abraded with faint dustsoil and a touch of silverfishing. Prints enclosed are unmarked quite nice. One of the two one-cent stamps is largely torn away, else a good set; even the die-cut slit that accommodates the flap of the pocket remains untorn and useful.
