San Francisco: Akashic Records & Tapes 530 Divisadero (Write to Mercurians at this address), 1999. Two seven-inch ep's pressed on translucent red plastic, in their original plain sleeves and a printed green folder holding these in the same pocket; the folder info states "a limited edition ('273' inserted / 500) released". Pocket and one sleeve show trivial crimping round two corners, discs appear pristine, a very good set. Unheard by us. The address is close to the headquarters of Coltrane mystics on Divisadero, and not far from Tchirinjiva's (sp?) live-in clan, a long-gone 70s effort to get holy.
Recorded in SF and mixed in NYC. drums: Phil Franklin. bass guitar: Deborah Fox. keyboards: Suzanne Ramsey. acoustic guitar: Christof W. Certik I. electric guitar: Neil Martinson. Additional instruments on Rings of Saturn include viola and glockenspiel, and on Moons of Jupiter, marimba.
