Lyon: Editions Scouts de France / La Hutte, [1943]. 40p., printed professionally on excellent bright-white coated paperstock, despite wartime shortages; 8.5x5.5 inch rubricated wraps. Scattered b&w illustrations and a doublespread organizational chart. Spinefold and cover margins are foxed and dusty, but staples have escaped rust, and on the whole the look is of a newish production.

If we are dating this item correctly (terminal leaf bears numerals 27-12-43) this is a publication from occupied France; the Vichy regime may well have wished to cultivate an organizational mentality amongst its youth, and official approval could explain the excellent paperstock.
