Title cover bears a few old penciled accession numerals and "which sees," and mild tic-marks; faint dampstain to title and adjacent leaves, both cover-leaves somewhat dust-soiled and there's a trace of vertical creasing throughout the item. A good-only copy.
In prefatory note to this reissue of the October '67 first, Johnson reveals his proper name, anonymity "being impossible to preserve." Johnson was a lawyer and politician. He represented slave-owner John Sanford in the Sanford vs. Dredd Scott case, although he later supported the antislavery amendment as a senator.
