The Parnassus of a small nation; an anthology of Slovene lyrics translated by various hands. A second enlarged edition

Celje, Slovenia: Drzavna Zalozba Slovenije, 1965. Paperback. 197p., English translations only, second edition (the first being 1954) in 7x5 inch untitled glazed white wraps with a printed dj (good decoration in gilt) tacked on with a spot of glue at the tail (we believe as issued). Jacket is rather edgeworn, an otherwise quite good copy. Some forty different poets with various translators.

FYI, the Englishing can be creative; witness Veno Taufer's "Spring, 1960" that starts, "the sky is putrid" --employing one of Britannia's lesser-used shock words-- but yes, there's plenty of unimaginative doggerel also.
