Pp.3-7 plus a full page introductory note by the composer and a terminal publisher's ad; 12x9 inch self-wraps, two folio leaves folded and nested without fastening, the outer pair having serious splits to spinefold and some toning and dust-soil. Cover bears the faint old rubber-stamp impression of a music outlet in Portland Oregon. Nathaniel Dett was an African American composer/arranger best known for his work with the spirituals.

Dett contributes about 600 words on the piece and its background inside front cover; "'juba' is the stamping on the ground with the foot and following it with two staccato pats of the hands in two-four time"
