"In places, the poet rather boldly and skillfully parlays his alternative worldview to the western readers - unmindful about being PC." - cover blurb by M. Omar Farooq. Banshee refers here to a type of Bangladeshi flute.
Kent Ridge, Singapore: Singapore University Press, 1980. Paperback. xii, 369p., illustrated with charts and stats, softbound in 8.5x5.5 inch decorated green wraps. Cover a little edgeworn and handled, spine has a reader's crease, text bears pencilled brackets and underlines (neat ones) throughout. Sound and otherwise clean, a good reading copy.....
New Delhi: Sage Publications / Book Review Literary Trust, 1995. Hardcover. 272p., illustrated with numerous line maps, hardbound in 8.5x5.5 inch black cloth boards gilt and dust jacket. Very nice condition (pace slightly slipshod Indian binderywork): completely sound, clean and unmarked.
Dacca: Premier Books, 1959, 1965. Two different editions of Fast's novel about the American Revolutionary War, published in what is now Bangladesh (then Eastern Pakistan). The earlier edition is a hardcover, 291p., very good, publisher uncertain; the latter edition is 314p., hardcover, corners somewhat rubbed. This edition has a paper.....
Dhaka, Bangladesh: Caritas-Bangladesh, 1988. Hardcover. xiv, 189 p., illustrated with scattered photos, sketches and line maps; a good hardcover in smudged and edgeworn dj. Study by a Catholic priest who worked in the area. This gypsy-like group identifies as Hindu, for practical purposes, rather than Muslim or Christian.
Tokyo: Fukuinkan Shoten, 1997. Paperback. 171p., fullpage color and b&w photography (about equal proportions) with brief texts and captions in both Japanese and English, plain printed 9.5x9 inch tan wraps, alkaline paperstock throughout. A nice clean sound unmarked copy. As of 10/2018 only one copy found in OCLC.
