Last Words of Thomas Carlyle - On Trades-Unions, Promoterism and The Signs of the Times.

Edinburgh: William Paterson, 1882. Paperback. 46p., first issue (or at least, the first softbound issue), 7.5x5 inch wraps, sewn signatures (threads holding nicely), a handleable exemplar lacking two inches on the tail of its spine panel, (roughly torn away but holding well enough), both covers and both endsheets heavily spotted with foxing and smudged with dust-soil. A fair-to-good reading copy.
