Berkeley: 1969. Handbill. 8.5x11 inch handbill for the People's Conference held at Provo Park in Berkeley; illus., slightly unevenly toned, small crack on lower right edge, else in very good condition.

Provo Park was known for countercultural events and concerts. This particular event was reported on in the Berkeley Tribe issue #212 (Sept. 1969). Workshops were offered by various underground newspapers (Red Mountain Tribe, Good Times, Dock of the Bay, KSAN), ecology action, Radical Student Union, Black Panther Party, Third World Liberation Front, the free university of Berkeley, and many more. Films, new tapes from Eldridge, etc.
