Urbaniser la lutte de classe
Paris: Utopie, 1969. Pamphlet. 48 pages, wraps. 9 x 5.5 in. Edges of covers and text block slightly toned, but otherwise an exceptionally clean, crisp copy. First edition.
Anonymous tract on urbanism and class struggle. Utopie was a Paris-based collective of architects, sociologists, and urbanists active from 1967-1978 that engaged in “revolutionary critique of urbanism” primarily through its eponymous journal. Inspired by the Situationists, Henri Lefebvre, and May 1968, their salvos critiquing technocracy, modernization, and urban planning were authored collectively, but contributors include Jean Aubert, Isabelle Auricoste, Jean Baudrillard, Catherine Cot, Charles Goldblum, Jean-Paul Jungmann, Henri Lefebvre, René Lourau, Antoine Stinco, and Hubert Tonka. Table of contents printed on a separate sheet, inserted.
