Postcard advertisement for Guerrilla Girls’s line of “discrimination-fighting products.” The image side is Goya’s La maja desnuda edited so that the woman is wearing a Guerilla Girls t-shirt; a reference to a poster produced in 1989 with Ingres’s nude Grand Odalisque modified to add a gorilla mask, captioned “Do women have to be naked to get into the Met Museum?” The Guerilla Girls formed in the mid-1980s as an anonymous collective of feminist artist-activists who confronted sexism and racism in the art world through posters, “weenie counts,” and other interventions.
