Natsu no hozugawa 夏之保津峡 (Hozu Ravine in Summer)
1939. Woodblock print. 12.75x9.75 inch print, fine condition, neatly mounted (at top edge) in a generic matte by the San Francisco dealer T.Z. Shiota, with penned caption below the print. The upper part of the matte has some minor scuffing and foxing, but has done its part to protect the print within.
A prominent 20th century woodblock artist, Takeda signed his work in English as Shin. This example is from his series, the New One Hundred Famous Views of Japan.
