The central organ of the ILWU. Long a left wing inside the labor movement, it has been inside and independent of the AFL-CIO. This issue focuses on international solidarity with the Liverpool Dockers who had been on strike and the refusal of ILWU Local 10 & Local 34 members to cross a community picket line set up on the docks in Oakland against the "Neptune Jade" for delivering cargo from the struck docks in Liverpool.
