The Houston Twelve, mostly Chicano prisoners, were all members of YAWF, a youth organization associated with the Workers World Party. They were beaten and arrested at a demonstration against Israel and five were charged with intent to murder a police officer. This packet includes a printed cover letter and reproductions of relevant news stories. Charges were eventually dropped against several defendants, and the others pleaded no contest to aggravated assault.
